Our work together

Change can cause us to feel isolated and alone. It may feel like you are absorbing the impact of this change or life event by yourself and are unsure where to turn. My goal is walk with you through the changes in life and navigate this new chapter together. Our work together will look like:

Identify and explore emotions

When we experience a life change or transition, it can be hard to decipher what is we are feeling. Change can often times come with conflicting emotions and it can be difficult to ride the wave of opposing emotions. Our work together will center around identifying your emotions and explore if these feelings have shown up in previous experiences.

Process the impact of this change on your life

While exploring emotions is necessary to process change, it is also important to look the ways in which a life change is impacting your life. This could look like sleeping less or more, loss of appetite, or isolating yourself from others. This can also be a change in your routine or relationships.

Identify Your unique strengths

We each have a unique set of strengths that can support us through times of change. It can be difficult to identify these strengths when we are feeling overwhelmed and forced to endure a change we did not expect. We will work together to identify your strengths and utilize them to move through this time in your life.

Build resiliency and adaptability

When we experience times of change, we are working towards our ability to adapt and strengthen our resiliency. Our work together can focus on ways to adapt to this change and build resiliency by turning towards change rather than avoiding.

Develop coping strategies and skills

Sometimes our regular coping skills suddenly do not feel like they are working in times of change and transition. We will work together to identify and develop new coping skills that can provide stability during this time in your life.
